Today is the 2nd anniversary of Ky's passing. Time has gone so fast but his Legacy lives on and in his memory Kyrece's Legacy team have been working to try and ensure that we continue to raise awareness of water safety and provide the local community with the equipment needed to prevent further tragedies.
In the past few weeks Kyrece's Legacy have sited a further 3 water safety units at; The Upper Thames sailing Club, Cookham Reach Sailing Club and The Bounty. There are 3 more safety units about to be sited in Copas Farms, Marsh Meadow Cookham (the home of Rock The Moor) and 1 more unit in Spade Oak Meadow, bringing the total number of units to 22. Kyrece's Legacy have given torpedo devices (matching those in the safety units) to Wycombe, Court Garden and Princes's Risborough Leisure Centres and Newlands Girls' School, to be used is water safety and personal survival lessons. During June, Water Safety Packs via the RLSS were sent out to schools in the Marlow and Wycombe areas for use in Drowning prevention Week. To mark Kyrece's anniversary, Little Marlow Lakes Country Parks Community Partnership donated £500 to Kyrece's Legacy to support the Water Safety message and further projects.
We can never bring Ky back an miss him terribly but with all of your kind help and support we can ensure that loosing Ky has led to something positive and ensure that he is always remembered.
Thank you all and sleep well Kyrece XXX
