16th AUGUST 2015
Kyrece's Legacy were down at the Rye raising awareness of water safety.
The special blue safety unit kindly donated by Gladson UK has now been placed in the fields behind Marlow rugby club (Westhorpe Farm) next to the beach area where we lost Ky. Leighanne Pinnock joined Ky's Mum Simone, Step-dad Lewis, sister Ameera, cousins, family and the rest of the crew along with Ky's friends Dom Small, Sean Chivers, Tayla Wallace, Shay Chamberlain, Jasmine Fifield-Moore and Alex Ursu for the installation. It was important to Simone to have this blue unit as a reminder to everyone passing of why the Legacy team have worked so hard to have all of the safety units installed.
Thank you to Wycombe District Council, who have now placed a warning sign along the River Thames close to where we have placed our blue safety unit , Kyrece's Legacy are continuing work behind the scenes to ensure further signage is put in place.

The crew were down at Marlow Regatta again this year and were joined by Bucks Fire and Rescue and their boat! Althought the weather wasn't as kind as it was in 2015 we had a sucessful few days raising water safety awareness with the firemen.
We have installed another 3 new units at Upper Thames Sailing Club, Cookham Reach Sailing Club and the Bounty.
B-Lines (the yellow torpedos) have been delivered to Wycombe Sports Centre, Court Garden and Princes Risborough, Newlands Girls School Maidenhead and Claires Court Maidenhead.

21st-29th June - Drowning Prevention Week
Kyrece's Legacy arranged for schools in the High Wycombe and Marlow areas to receive packs to promote water safety from the Royal Life Saving Society.
These packs were funded by Kyrece's Legacy and contained safety information, leaflets, games and stickers to raise awarenss of the dangers of swimming in open water from rivers to beaches.
Water safety is now part of the national curriculum and Kyrece's Legacy, along with Bucks Fire and Rescue, are also giving talks in local schools to further relay the importance of the message to stay out of open water.
